Many of those who work the nights of New York City have heard stories about the Joker. Many think he’s an urban legend, created to instill terror onto the weak of mind. Many claim to have seen him, always in his sinister clown mask, hiding in the dark alleys. Others dismiss his existence. But the Joker exists…
The origin and motivations of the man known as the Joker are still uncertain. Only bits and pieces of his history are known, and the rest of the information has been fabricated by the people of the city. It is generally accepted that he came from a rich family. During his childhood, he would have endured years of violent abuse and molestation. As an adult, he would have renounced his fortune, which to him symbolized the many years of pain and suffering. Taking shelter in the dark alleys of the big city, the Joker decided to take his fear to the rest of the people. They would all know his pain. To conceal his identity, the young man adopted an old clown mask. His costume earned him his nickname—the Joker.
The Joker works under the cloak of the night. Naturally, his targets are usually prostitutes, exotic dancers or just girls going out. People of the night in general. Years and years of systematic stalking and torturing distorted his mind and body, turning him into a disgusting, pale-skinned bloated creature. His eyes are now cold and cruel.
